It may include assemblies consisting of rigid or semirigid tubing, or the like, with blade attaching facility(ies) at one end, and the other end designed to attach to the fuselage or contoured to fit the aircraft fuselage, with provisions for securing purposes. It may include a warning streamer to indicate removal before flight. It may be equipped with a tightening device. For blade securing devices which necessitate folding of the rotary wing blades, see rack, rotary wing blade. Excludes lock (as modified); tie down, aircraft mooring; and tie down, cargo, aircraft.
Packing shall be accomplished to meet the performance test requirements of astm-d4169, distribution cycle 18, assurance level 1.
Packing shall be accomplished in accordance with table c.Ii for the packing level specified. closure, sealing and reinforcement shall be in accordance with the appropriate shipping container specification.
