A fixed wood surface finishing machine having a direct motor driven spindle or spindles on which is mounted a steel disk for attaching abrasive paper. A removable table is provided with the hinged side adjacent to the disk and is capable of adjustment to 45 degree (0.8 radians) angle and also vertically to clear the disk entirely.
