A buoyant, thermally insulated jacket designed to be worn either casually or for survival in cold water. It has a collar and concealed coverings which readily convert protection of the head, neck, buttocks, and groin. Buoyancy is obtained by a filler of buoyant material such as kapok or foamed plastics. Excludes jacket (1), extreme cold weather; and life preserver (as modified).
