This valve varies from naval drawing 803-1385714 (and 810-1385714) by material of o-rings is viton, supplied with socket weld, union tailpiecesand union nuts, bronze packing gland, packing is braided polytetrafluoroethylene multifilament surface lubricated with polytetrafluoroethylene suspensoid, crane style c-1046. Shock and vibration not required per contract. Similar to 4820-01-269-4395, special clean and hx quality control. Similar to 4820-01-162-6+041, whick is hx quality control. A valve having a flat or tapered disk (gate) which moves transversely to the axis of flow by rotating or sliding movements of the stem to open or close the orifice.
