Portable broadcast service(gbs) receive suite which receives one-way satellite transmission of classified/unclassified video,data,and imagery. It consists of portable receive suite terminal(prt) or antenna and a portable receive broadcast manager(pbrm).The prt contains the ka-band satellite receiver antenna,integrated receiver decoder(ird),and the automated transponder tracker and channel tuner.The pbrm c/o a ruggedized laptop computer,kg-250 crypto unit for type-one encryption capability,commerical conditional access system(cas)"smart card" for type-two encryption,a power adapter,and assorted ethernet (cat-5) cables.The pbrm can operate in either an unclassified(type-2 encryption) or in a classified(type-1 encryption). A kg-250 and swappable classified hard drive are required to receive classified data.
