Firefinder radar is used to detect, track and locate mortar, artillery and other high angle trajectory projectiles over a continuous range from 750 to 24,000 meters and over a continous sector of 1,600 miles, provides friendly artillery registration and adjustment, uses a pulse doppler radar with multiple target capability and a phased array antenna, capable of being operated from a remote location at 50 to 100 meters from the operations control group, comprised of five major subassemblies, operations control group, antenna transceiver group, generator trailer group, equipment set-trailer mounted and maintenance kit
