Functional Description:
The p3i embedded gps/ins (egi)+ with multi mode receiver (mmr) unit is a self- contained all attitude navagation line replaceable unit providing outputs of acceleration, attitude (azimuth, pitch, roll), attitude rates, heading, position, velocity, associated time tag information, and universal time coordinated (utc) sychronized time via externally controlled mil-std-1553b dual multiplex data bus which receives data and transmits updated data based the requirements of the interfacing avionics systems. The mmr provides for a protected instrument landing system (p-ils), a very high omni bearing receiver (vor), and a marker beacon (mb) functionality. The egi+ w/mmr provides simultaneous inertial, blended and gps only position solutions. It incorporates a gsar based receiver.
