The csas consists of a high-resloution (professional grade) digital still camera. It includes accessories such as, a variety of lenses that sover short, medium and long range (600mm) acquisition and includes equipment necessary to sustain prolonged deployments (power inverter). The csas is a still imagery acquisition system that provides marines, with the 4641 mos, the equipment necessary to perform specialized missions of imagery acquisition for the following documentation: fires and maneuver, logistics, intelligence, force protection, as well as the many facets of military information support operations. This system documents the history of marine corps events/training and provides imagery for mission evaluation. The system is designed for operation by a single marine.
