A length of tubular metal, the lower part of which is cut away approximately one-third the length of the tube to permit slip fitting over the head and foot pieces of a bedstead at each corner. The hollow top sections of the tubes form sockets into which the feet of a second bedstead may be inserted to form a double-deck unit.
