An asphalt base compound, completely compatible with high explosives, with a maximum acidity and a maximum alkalinity of 0.01 percent, formulated for use as a protective lining for fabricated metal cases into which charges of tnt, hbx-1, or hbx-2 are poured, particularly where crevices exist in wall cases.
