The repeatre-relay system is a portable, programmable, vhf/uhf sensor data radio set used to retransmit messages from deployed sensors to either another retransmission device, or a sensor-monitoring site. Several systems can be used in a station-to-station chain, one sending to another, to overcome radio line-of-sight obstacles. The devices are battery powered, hand-emplaced systems that are recoverable and operate unattended. This system provides multiple power management capabilities, increased bandwidth, and duplex communications for deployed remote sensor systems
