Joint operational stocks (jos) 50-man bare base sets (od green) are air transportable, modular life support systems that afford unit commanders with a rapidly deployable package of equipment designed to provide limited comfort & life support to personnel in a bare base environment. Set contains: tents with lights, outlets, power generation equipment, environmental control units, a lightweight field shower and a portable water storage filtration unit. Wt: 34455 lbs.A small number of army space heaters (ash) for use in cold weather environments may be available but are not issued as part of the set. Configurations may vary depending on availability of equipment at time of acquisition. Sets do not include kitchen equipment or latrines. Further, no manpower comes with the set for installation or maintenance.
