The converter-programmer provides multi-station prelaunch guidance, control, and release capability for aim-7, aim-9, and aim-120a air-to-air missiles as well as a multitude of general purpose, guided, and specialty type air-to-ground weapons. Firing and control functions for a 20 mm cannon are also included. Mil-std-1760 class ii weapon capability. The c-p is a 16 bit parallel, programmable microprocessor system based on a z8002 processor. Also provides an interface between the cockpit equipment and aircraft armament
