Functional Description:

Used during performance of unscheduled intermediate maintenance at the flightline to verify the dc parameter outputs while troubleshooting and fault isolating. The signal outputs from the egt and epr indicators, and fuel flow (ff) amplifier are required to exercise those channels of data recorded by the flight recorder/locator system. The output of the flight recorder/locator system is monitored by the data display monitor (ddu-4) as the input signal is varied from 0 to 5 volts dc. The signals are generated by operating engines or by providing a simulated voltage at the output of each indicator and the amplifier. The input impedance of the signal data converter between high and low is 150, 000 ohms (+o.1%)
