Taper pipe reamers are made with a taper of .750 inch per foot and are designed for reaming holes to be tapped with american national standard taper pipe taps. taper reamers used prior to tapping with taper pipe taps provide threads of better quality and are recommended when tapping dryseal, nptf, and military aeronautical pipe thread specifications, anpt. These reramers are furnished with left hand spiral, right hand cutting flutes.
