General Description:

The heated sample transfer line (hstl) is located on the right side of the chemical vapor sampler unit (cvsu) and functions as the hose through which sampled air travels from the outside of the vehicle to the pneumatic unit of nsn 6665-01-545-2048 the chemical vapor sampler unit (cvsu). The hstl is 42 inches long and made of rubber with a chemically insert lining to form a double wall. Heat is applied to the interior of the line by way of the electrical cable to reduce condensation. The heat from the hstl keeps the sample in a vaporous state to optimize the integrity of the sample
