The basic sniper rifle shot counter is a battery operated module designed to mount into the sniper rifle stock immediately behindthe trigger guard; this module is not designed for automatic weapons; there is an optional window at the lower end to allow communications using an infra-red (ir) data link; the module includes a non-replaceable lithium battery with a battery life of 5 years; the unit will count up to 5 shots per second and will store 65, 535 shots; the module is mechanically rugged and is designed to operate over negative 40 degrees celsius to positive 85 degrees celsius range
