The an/vas-5 (v)1 model is an manually operated pan and tilt for operator viewing while driving. The an/vas-5b(v) 1 is a compact, lightweight, uncooled, passive thermal imaging system that enables visibility during periods of darkness or degraded visibility such as fog or smoke. It enhances the operator's ability to operate the vehicle thus providing greater safety for the operator and crew and permitting mission success.
