Incorporates a precision miniature linkage similar to a drafting table mechanism to convert the angular motion of the moving coil into a straight line chord which eliminates the small tangential errors introduced by knife edge writing systems; thermal point writing produces accurate cleart tracings for graphic recorders; employs a closed loop servo system to achieve 100% accuracy; includes multi-stage amplifier, a driver stage and a moving magnetic coil; changes in coil position are sensed by the pathfinder transducer that converts the position to a proportional electrical signal, this signal is compared to the recording systems signal input and the differences are notedby the servo amplifier stage producingan output voltage to drive the coil to a null position
