The 11th - 17th stage blades of the high pressure compressor must be spread for measurement between adjacent blades during assembly of the blade slots to determin the blade gap; pwa80983 pliers is a spreading tool that consists of a special pair of pliers with a torque handle, the plier jaws expandagainst the blades, and the torque handle limits the amount of force to prevent damage to the blades
