In a shower assembly, this item is the stem on which the water temperature control handle revolves; furnished parts (& their individual p/n's) in the kit are as follows: brass spindle 1 (03-0500-rcp-p), brass washer 1 (45-0539), friction washer 1 (45-0540), & o-rings 2 (49-0076); each part can be ordered separately if desired
