6 grams sterile, lyophilized ribavirin; 100 ml glass vial, 4s; for reconstitution with 300 ml sterile water for injection or sterile water for inhalation (no preservative added); administered by a small particle aerosol generator (spag-2); store in a dry place at 25 degrees c; reconstituted solutions may be stored under sterile conditions at room temp (20-30 degrees c) for 24 hrs; indicated for the treatment of hospitalized infants and young children with severe lower respiratory tract infections due to respiratory syncytial virus (rsv)
