An item the shape of which is essentially that of a flat disk or rectangle and the thickness of which is small in proportion to either its length or breadth. It has a centrally located hole or depression to or in which may be welded a pipe dowel which may include bolt holes. It is used as an individual base for one of the supporting legs of a tower.
